EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems) is a cladding used for exterior walls. It consists of multiple layers, including a water-resistant barrier, insulation or EPS board, a cementitious base coat with a fiberglass mesh embedded into it, and a finish coat. EIFS offers energy efficiency, lightweight construction, and versatility compared to traditional stucco.

Though EIFS resembles stucco, it is a very different product, with multiple benefits including:

5. Durability: Because of the Insulation layer EIFS has more flexibility and resists cracking. Higher weight mesh can be added to high traffic areas to increase durability for impact damage. It maintains its appearance over time, even in harsh weather conditions.
